Comic Artwork & Coloring
Comic book style artwork has infiltrated most areas of media and design. CobraRose Creations can bring to your customers and clients not only comic book storytelling and rendering, but also custom coloring of black and white images.
I've been drawing and collecting comics for over 25 years, and have had the good fortune of working on comic-based projects, including recoloring legacy Superman comics as a sub-contractor for DC.
Now with Photoshop, we can color sections of black and white line art for special effects. To the right is an exposition page with highly rendered background with fade effect so as to not overwhelm the main characters, all done in Photoshop. Black and white line art copyright 2003 by DC comics.
Coloring can be done either in flat colors or in full gradients. Both styles are used in the Liberty Meadows sample; realistic rendering in the imaginary sequence, and the flat, "cartoon" coloring in the final panel of the main characters. Black and white line art copyright 2002 by Frank Cho.
